Now with added Spider-Man.
The second trailer for the eagerly awaited Captain America: Civil War has arrived with 100% extra Spider-Man. The new trailer gave us our first look at the rebooted Spider-Man outfit, and some questionable ADR.
The Avengers stand divided and all heck is about to be unleashed as Team Cap and Team Iron Man go to war. Not since Twilight has there been such a debate of which movie team to be on; a quick side note for interested parties, I was firmly on #TeamIDon’tGiveAFuck. Civil War kicks off Phase Three in Marvel’s franchise, later this year the MCU gets a little more magical with Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the master of the mystic arts.
Marvel seemed to have learned from past marketing mistakes by releasing less trailers, at this point in the MCU do we need that much persuading to go see them at the cinema? Not really, but There will be plenty of TV spots to come in the run up to release, but I am liking the less is more approach.
Captain America Civil War arrives in UK cinemas on April 29.

But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in twocamps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
