Fire up the grill and get some celebratory eats on the go as 20th Century Fox has just confirmed their plans for a movie spin-off from their crazy good animated series Bob’s Burgers.
Bob’s Burgers creator Loren Bouchard issued a statement confirming that the movie will, in fact, be “the greatest movie of all time.”
“We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show.
We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colours and the sounds and the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s — but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!”
I won’t lie to you good people; I was pretty sad when King of the Hill was cancelled and came to an end in 2010. I missed the relatable family comedy and the attention to character development, sure, Family Guy and American Dad can be funny, but they lack the realism of King of the Hill. Not all animated shows need to be that way, but I couldn’t find anything to replace it. Then, as if the TV overlords heard my mad cries, Bob’s Burgers popped up in 2011 and is still going strong today. Bob’s Burgers fills that King of the Hill void, and I can’t wait to see the Belchers on the big screen.
Bob’s Burgers season 8 is coming to Comedy Central this Winter, and the movie is set for release on July 17, 2020.
