There is not long to wait before those hormone riddled teenagers return for the third season of Netflix’s Big Mouth. Following the events of the brilliant Valentine’s Day Special, life hasn’t gotten any easier for Nick (Nick Kroll), Andrew (John Mulaney), Jessi (Jessi Klein), Missy (Jenny Slate) and Jay (Jason Mantzoukas).
Big Mouth is a pull no punches (and freaking hilarious) examination of that horrifying time in every person’s life, puberty. Oh, how I wish this show were available when I was younger. On the upside, Big Mouth is now a series available to the world, and while it might not be suitable for youngsters, it should be essential viewing. The third season lands on Netflix next month, and to get us in the mood there’s a brand new trailer. The Big Mouth train is set to keep going with Netflix handing out a whopping three-season pick-up earlier this year. We can only hope that a second Valentine’s or Christmas special is included in that bumper renewal.
Big Mouth is a half-hour edgy adult animated comedy from real-life best friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg about the glorious nightmare that is teenage puberty. Comedian John Mulaney lends his voice to the character of Andrew, while Kroll (who serves as co-creator, executive producer) voices many including best friend Nick. Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein are among those who lend their voice to the series.
