After a break of three years, Steven Spielberg returns to direct his first film since Lincoln and reunites with his old chum Tom Hanks. Bridge of Spies arrives in the UK on November 26th, already a hot contender for Oscar season the classy spy thriller has unveiled a brand new clip.
Based on true events, Tom Hanks stars as insurance claims lawyer James Donovan who is tasked with negotiating the safe return of a capture US pilot. Donovan’s previously safe life it thrust into a world of espionage and danger. A new Spielberg movie is always cause for celebration, and the master filmmaker is back behind the camera where he belongs. He might have been away for a couple of years, but Steven Spielberg has been extra busy recently working on a whole bunch of new projects. Firstly, he has wrapped on his adaptation of the BFG which is due for release next summer, and he is getting started on Ready Player One. There’s also the small matter of the sequel to Tintin, it has been over four years since the first instalment and the follow-up was meant to be helmed by Peter Jackson. Sadly, there has been no solid updates on the movie in more than a year. Then, there is always the outside chance that Indiana Jones 5 might happen (even if it shouldn’t), either that or we could be looking at a reboot starring Chris Pratt.
In the meantime, Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies is in cinemas nationwide from November 26th. Check out the new clip below.
