How Ant-Man and The Wasp Should Have Ended

The following videos contain great big massive spoilers for Ant-Man and The Wasp.

After the cold snap of the finale of Infinity War, the MCU was in need of some lightness, and the follow-up to Ant-Man arrived just in time to lift our spirits. Ant-Man and The Wasp certainly brought the funny with its charm, one-liners and easy going plot. That said, it was perhaps a tad too light with a plot that barely registers as a threat to anybody.

I’m not going to belittle the sequel needlessly; there was a lot to like about it as I had a good time at the movies. The story doesn’t hold up to much scrutiny, but that’s not going to stop the people at Cinema Sins for finding a way to improve the movie. On a side note, if Marvel is going to cast the brilliant Walton Goggins for goodness sake give the man something to do that counts towards the plot. I was supremely excited that Goggins was in the mix as a bad guy, his role in the film is too brief and too ineffectual to the story. Perhaps Goggins’ Sonny Burch comes back in Avengers 4 to help undo Thanos’ murder snap, unlikely, but we can but dream.

As a bonus, the cheeky folks over at Screen Junkies also took AMATW to task with a painfully accurate Honest Trailer that you can watch below.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is released on DVD & Blu-ray on December 3rd, which is available for you to pre-order now if you’re so inclined.

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.
