The first trailer for the highly anticipated Thor Love and Thunder trailer has landed, and we are in for a wild ride. When we last saw Thor in the MCU, he had said farewell to being a King; he said goodbye to Earth and hitched a ride with those lovable rogues, The Guardians of the Galaxy. The fourth Thor movie picks up shortly after the events of Endgame, and we see a few glimpses of Thor putting in the time at the gym to get back into fighting shape.
The God of Thunder will need his wits about him as a powerful new enemy is rising in the form of Gorr The God Butcher (played by Christian Bale), which, as his name suggests, Gorr butchers Gods. It won’t just be fast quips with Peter Quill and dressing like a space pirate for Thor; he’s reunited with his form love Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who has become bestowed with the power of The Mighty Thor! Starring Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper. Thor Love and Thunder hits cinemas on July 8.
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
