Marvel Reveals Full Release Schedule up To 2023

It has been just over two years since Endgame hit cinemas and not far short of that since we had our last big screen adventure in the MCU. While the Disney+ shows are in full swing now with WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drawing huge numbers for the streamer. However, there is quite a backlog of movies to get through with four helpings of MCU action in cinemas this year.

Disney has now confirmed what to expect (and when) beyond this year, and there are some surprises along the way, well as far as titles for sequels go. Before we get started, here is what is currently due in cinemas this year;

“Black Widow”: July 9th, 2021

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”: September 3rd, 2021

“Eternals”: November 5th, 2021

“Spider-Man: No Way Home”: December 17th, 2021

2022 will also be home to four Marvel releases with the now officially titled Black Panther Wakanda Forever. The follow-up to the blockbuster Black Panther promises to honour the legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman. The Captain Marvel sequel now has the title of The Marvels, which should give us a clue about a possible team up of both Captain and Ms Marvel.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”: March 25th, 2022

“Thor: Love and Thunder”: May 6th, 2022

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”: July 8th, 2022

“The Marvels”: November 11th, 2022

At the time of writing, there are only two titles for 2023, but the recent Marvel video gave us a glimpse of the Fantastic Four logo, and there is the small matter of Deadpool 3. There is also no mention of the Blade reboot with Mahershala Ali, or the X-Men so clearly, there are more announcements to be made.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”: February 17th, 2023

“Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3”: May 5th, 2023

Our next visit to the MCU arrives on Disney+ next month with the highly-anticipated Loki series. Black Widow will also be debuting on Disney+ Premium access and in cinemas on July 9th.
