Dalgliesh Series 2 Sets Home Entertainment Release

Dalgliesh Series 2 is set to arrive on DVD and digital following its successful run on Channel 5; the hit series was renewed for a third series last year, so there are plenty more gripping, complex cases for Dalgliesh to solve. Alongside Dalgliesh Series 2, a complete series Box Set, courtesy of Acorn Media International, will also be available on May 15, 2023.

BERTIE CARVEL is back on the box as Dalgliesh in the hugely popular TV series – based on renowned author P.D. James’ detective novels – with its highly anticipated return, following its critically-acclaimed first series that attracted an audience of more than four million.

Dalgliesh Series 2 sees the enigmatic investigator and poet tackle even more mind-boggling mysteries in the grubby heart of 1970s England, including the murder of a young girl, which leads to a forensic biologist being found dead in his lab, the suspicious murder of an illustrious but controversial defence barrister and the case of a young doctor being set alight on museum grounds where it seems everyone has something to gain from the crime… Each thrilling new case is split across two episodes and sees David Pearse (The Banshees of Inisherin) reprise his role as forensic pathologist Miles Kynaston, while Carlyss Peer (Grantchester) returns as Dalgliesh’s noble assistant, DS Kate Miskin.
