Good Omens Trailer

Trailers

The first trailer for Amazon Prime’s lavish adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens has materialised, and it’s sinfully enjoyable. Michael Sheen stars as Aziraphale, an angel who formed a friendship with David Tennant’s demon, Crowley. They’ve grown fond of Earth and all its comforts, so when the end of days approaches, the two unlikely friends must find a way to prevent Armageddon.

I’ve not read the book, so I’m entirely unfamiliar with the source material. Be that as it may, the trailer looks pretty ruddy awesome, and I’m all in on the series. Sheen and Tennant as angel and demon besties on a make or break mission to save the world, I don’t need any more information than that to join the fan club. Amazon’s previous attempt to adapt Gaiman’s work, American Gods, has been a mixed bag. So much promise, but a wealth of production woes has cast a shadow of doubt over the future of the series. Hopefully, Good Omens will live up to its name and delivers one of next year’s must-see shows.

Also starring Jon Hamm, Anna Maxwell Martin, Josie Lawrence, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Nick Offerman, Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and Mark Gatiss, Good Omens arrives on Amazon Prime next year. As this is a co-production with BBC Studios, UK fans will be able to watch the show on BBC Two shortly after its debut on Amazon.

Based on the best-selling novel by renowned authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, this series follows the story of Aziraphale, an angel, and Crowley, a demon, who have formed an unlikely friendship spanning 6,000 years and have grown fond of life on earth. However, the end of time grows near with the approaching Armageddon and they must now join forces to find a way to save the world.
