After the double whammy of Ex Machina and Annihilation, filmmaker Alex Garland returns with a new psychological thriller, Men.

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Jessie Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.

A brand new trailer for the film has arrived, and it does a fantastic job of creating an atmospheric setting for visionary filmmaker Alex Garland’s feverish, shape-shifting new horror film. The creative response to the last two years of real-world events has yielded some compelling new horrors, and if you were a fan of Ben Wheatley’s low-key In The Earth, then Men should be pretty high up on your list of must-see films in 2022.

Also starring Rory Kinnear (No Time To Die) and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You), Men is released in cinemas on May 20; check out the haunting trailer below.
