Avengers: Roughly One Week Of Ultron!

The Screen Junkies have opened their toy chest of pain and unleashed an Honest Trailer for Avengers Age of Ultron.

While I very much enjoyed Whedon’s sequel, the unrealistic expectations we all put on the poor man can’t be ignored. I’m in the camp of ‘time will tell’ with Age of Ultron, give it a few more movies and I firmly believe Ultron will be seen as a bold step. Sure, the plot was over stuffed, Thor’s screen time was MIA and the finale recycled the recycled finale from that other Marvel movie that recycled its finale.

In typical Honest Trailer fashion, they make some ruddy good points without being unnecessarily cruel. That’s the thing I do love about Screen Junkies, it all comes from a place of love for movies. On a side note, it would be truly something special if Marvel would release extended editions as more than an hour of footage was cut from the finished product. Deleted scenes offer us a glimpse of the missing bits, but why not release extended cuts, don’t Disney excel at exploiting its back catalogue? If unmolested versions of Star Wars are on the cars, why not Avengers as well.
