The first trailer for the second season of anthology series Manhunt has arrived, shifting its focus from the Unabomber, Deadly Games centres on the hunt for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Park Bomber. The very same subject is covered in Clint Eastwood’s new film Richard Jewell, but Deadly Games promises a much bigger story than that of Eastwood’s film.
The first season did something I never thought possible, Sam Worthington did some honest to God acting, and he was pretty good. The trailer for Deadly Games looks set to be another gripping ten-part season, now that Mindhunter isn’t coming back anytime soon, Manhunt could provide the true-crime drama fix.
Manhunt: Deadly Games will chronicle one of the largest and most complex manhunts on U.S. soil—the search for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Park Bomber—and the media firestorm that consumed the life of Richard Jewell in its wake. With their legacies on the line and divisions within communities stoked, investigators must choose what is most important to defend—their reputations or the truth.
Manhunt Deadly Games stars Jack Huston, Judith Light, Gethin Anthony, Kelly Jenrette and Cameron Britton, and will land in the UK on Netflix later this year.
