A new behind the scenes video from Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver has arrived. You might have forgotten that Wright has a cool as heck new movie about to hit cinemas this summer, and this brief behind the scenes look offers a glimpse at the ambitious project.

In today’s CGI-happy world, the old school practical effects approach has become something of a dying art. Thankfully, Wright is a lover of the old school ways, and he’s gone all out on Baby Driver to give an authentic experience that would make Vanishing Point proud.

Baby Driver is the first film from Edgar Wright since he brought the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy to a close with The World’s End in 2013. While a hugely enjoyable sci-fi comedy, The World’s End did feel tonally different to Shaun and Hot Fuzz. We would have had an Edgar Wright movie two years ago, but the saga of trying to get his vision for Ant-Man realised led him to walk away from the movie. Welcome back Mr. Wright, you have been sorely missed.

Starring Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Jon Bernthal, Eiza González, with Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx. Baby Driver revs into UK cinemas on June 28, check out the behind the scenes video below.

A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
