A brand new trailer has landed for Drew Goddard’s highly anticipated Bad Times At The El Royale. Having written & directed the meta-horror comedy Cabin In The Woods, Goddard shifts gears to a twisted mystery thriller with just a hint of noir and dark humour. Basically, it’s everything you could hope for and more.
Goddard has assembled a knockout cast for his stylish thriller that includes his old Cabin in the Woods stars, Chris Hemsworth who looks like he’s having a blast playing the charismatic cult leader Billy Lee. Hemsworth is one of seven guests that end up staying at the El Royale hotel, and they’ve all got something to hide. The cast also includes Jon Hamm, Jeff Bridges, Dakota Johnson, Cynthia Erivo, and Lewis ‘son of Bill’ Pullman.
I’ll never need much convincing to watch anything Goddard has worked on, his razor-sharp script for Ridley Scott’s The Martian bagged him an Academy Award nomination. Aside from his long history collaborating with Joss Whedon, Goddard is responsible for fixing World War Z, Cloverfield, and writing a couple of episodes of the sinfully brilliant comedy The Good Place.
Bad Times At The El Royale is released in UK cinemas on October 12, check out the brand new trailer below.
