New Trailer For Pet Sematary Remake

A brand new trailer for the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary has been unearthed! Based on King’s book, Pet Sematary was previously turned into a serviceable movie (with a script by King) and spawned a woeful sequel. You may already be familiar with the story, but if you’re not here’s a quick reminder.

A family from Boston move from the stresses of city life for rural Maine (where else, it is a Stephen King story after all). Shortly after they arrive, the two children find a pet cemetery in the woods, but this is no ordinary burial ground, it has the power to bring the dead back! Clearly, nothing will go wrong, and there can be zero possible consequences from dabbling with supernatural forces that bring precious loved ones back from the dead.

I saw the original film way too early in life, I might have been 12, but secretly I know I was younger. A couple of years after watching it, we sadly lost our beloved pet cat (Sammy) to that bastard father time. I laid my sofa buddy to rest in his favourite spot in the garden, cried my eyes out, and cried some more. The next day, the burial spot was empty, Sammy’s remains were nowhere to be seen. Could it be, could Pet Sematary be real? Shit! Is my cat going to try and kill me now? It turns out I needn’t have concerned myself with the possibility; a fox had dug him up and what was left of him was in the flower bed. So I buried my beloved chum a second time, a dug a deeper hole just to be sure.

Directed by Kevin Kölsch, Dennis Widmyer, Pet Sematary stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow.

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, (StephenKing) PetSematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbour, Jud Crandall (JohnLithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
