Nicolas Cage’s one person mission to appear in all the movies continues to throw out some bizarre offerings, but every once in a while the enigma that is Cage serves up something so odd it swings round to must-see. Welcome to Willy’s Wonderland, giggle-worthy titles aside, Cage stars as a mysterious loner who takes some custodial work and an abandoned theme park, but when the arrary of rusty animatronic park mascots get murderous, it’s up to Cage to save the day.
While Cage has made some pretty terrible movies over the last decade or so, he is always watchable in them, well maybe not Left Behind, that was just unwatchable. However, Cage is at his best when he seems to be having fun, and who doesn’t want to see Cage hack his way through an army of possessed robots. Nobody that’s who! Willy’s Wonderland was due out in cinemas, but owing to the pandemic, it will be debuting on demand and home entertainment on February 12. The first full trailer is now online which you can see below.
