The first teaser for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has shuffled its way online. Mr Darcy is going to have to work a little harder to win the heart of Elizabeth Bennet, mostly because hundreds of zombies are trying to eat her brains.
Based on the parody book of the the same name written by Seth Grahame-Smith, the movie offers you the chance to see Jane Austen’s classic tale like never before. I’m not sure that Austen would approve of the horror spin on her most famous work, but if it helps bring Pride and Prejudice to a new generation then it’s a worthwhile experiment. The script was co-written by David O. Russell and as expected, an array of British thespians are amongst the cast who are gamely along for the ride.
Starring Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, former Doctor Who star Matt Smith, Lena Headey and Charles Dance, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies arrives in UK cinemas on February12, 2016.

A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry.
