Strangers Prey At Night Unleashed On Digital Download August 24

Ten years after they stalked Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, The Strangers are back in the long-awaited sequel to Bryan Bertini’s startling original. Bertini co-writes the script but has passed directing duties to 47 Meters Down helmer Johannes Roberts.

This time around, Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison and Lewis Pullman are the targets for the masked family who you don’t want knocking on your door in the dead of night. I have a lot of love for the first film, an effective edge of your seat thriller that served up relentless tension and more than a few surprise jumps. You’d think that the success of the first film would have led to an instant sequel and we’d be talking about the reboot already.

A sequel was announced shortly after the first film hit cinemas but for a variety of reasons, the sequel only went into production last year. Fingers crossed we won’t have to wait another decade for the next instalment.
