Ant-Man and The Wasp Trailer Brings The Fun

The following article contains no spoilers for Avengers Infinity War. A brand new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived, and not a moment too soon. Paul Rudd returns as Scott Lang to suit up as Ant-Man once again to remind audiences that the MCU can be a lightweight and happy place.

This time, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) fights alongside Lang as The Wasp, and the stakes are even bigger. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that Ant-Man and The Wasp takes place after the events of Captain America Civil War, but before the events of Infinity War. Lang is under house arrest following his liberation from The Raft, and he’s finding it challenging to balance his responsibilities as a father and a superhero.

The first Ant-Man movie emerged better than expected after the whole Edgar Wright situation, in no small way down to the considerable charm of Paul Rudd. Generating more than $500 million worldwide, Ant-Man did better than The First Avengers, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk (it still counts).

Also starring Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Michael Douglas. Ant-Man and The Wasp lands in US cinemas on July 6, and thanks to The World Cup, UK fans will have to wait until August 3.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past
