The Mandalorian Trailer

Disney’s annual D23 Expo is in full swing and announcements, trailers, and a few surprises are aplenty. Dropping the first teaser trailer for their live-action Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian, fans were treated to what Jon Favreau and his team have created,

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

Behind the camera Taika Waititi (who also provides the voice of IG-11), Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow taking on directing duties across the eight-episode series. Disney has clearly liked what it has seen as they already ordered a second season which is set to start production later this year. Unlike Netflix, Disney+ won’t be adopting the ‘all at once’ approach to distributing its original TV shows. Instead, each episode will be released weekly for the duration of its run. While that hasn’t been 100% confirmed, it has been widely reported from several credible sources.

Disney+ launched in the US on November 12, there is STILL no details on when the UK will get the chance to add another subscription to our list of things. A few international dates have been revealed, but the UK wasn’t part of the first wave. More details on Disney+ launching in the UK as it comes in, but it could be the new year at this rate.

Starring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog. The Mandalorian arrives on Disney+ on November 12.
