The first season on SyFy’s latest hit series, Vagrant Queen, is about to conclude, but fear not as the complete first season has set its home entertainment release.
She’s a royal gone rogue! Based on the comic of the same name by Magdalene Visaggio and illustrated by Jason Smith, this colourful, trend-setting “space opera” adventure series follows Elida, child queen turned orphan who scavenges the galaxy, attempting to stay hidden from the Republic government. She must embark on a dangerous quest across the galaxy with an old friend, facing cannibalistic aliens, dangerous planets, shootouts and karaoke. Get ready for your new favourite sci-fi show!
If you like your sci-fi shows polished, dazzling special effects, and family-friendly, I’m sorry to say that Vagrant Queen won’t be your cup of tea. However, if you like a scrappy, action-packed, sci-series aimed squarely at adults, then you’re going to get through these ten episodes pretty quickly. If you’re missing fellow Syfy series Killjoys, then you’re just found a suitable replacement. Vagrant Queen is released on DVD & Blu-ray on July 13, pre-order your copy today.
Your new favourite SciFi show! Former child queen Elida has been on the run since her mother was shot and killed by Commander Lazaro, the man responsible for bringing down their empire. A highly skilled fighter, Elida has been living in hiding and making ends meet as a scavenger while the unhinged Lazaro obsesses over tracking her down. When Elida s old frenemy Isaac shows up with news that her mother is still alive, it takes the help of the technically savvy and optimistic Amae to escape Lazaro s army and begin the rescue mission across the galaxy. To save her mother the team must break into the heavily guarded region of space where Elida once ruled, and an encounter with a group loyal to her former throne forces her to finally stop running and face her past as a child queen. Cannibalistic aliens, dangerous planets, shootouts, karaoke, and parking tickets complicate the journey further, and they don t have long before the increasingly deranged Lazaro catches up to them. All 10 episodes from Season One.
