If the wait until Christmas 2017 to return to the Star Wars universe for Episode 8 is proving too difficult, don’t panic as the first spin-off arrives in cinemas this December. The first trailer for Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One has landed and it’s pretty blooming spectacular, so buckle in for what promises to be ten times better than Caravan of Courage. 

Taking place between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope, Rogue One charts the exploits of the brave rebels who risked life and limb to steal the blueprints for The Death Star. Felicity Jones leads the ensemble cast as Jyn Erso and has already set the rumour mill ablaze with speculation that she could be the biological mother to The Force Awakens’ Rey (Daisy Ridley).
