Shane Black’s The Nice Guys is now in cinemas and if you have any sense you’ll be seeing the movie as soon as possible, if you remain on the fence then fear not, a brand new clip has been released with added Matt Bomer. After the big budget fun of Iron Man 3, Shane Black is back on noir territory that fans of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang will adore.
Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe star in this 70s set buddy comedy, they play mismatched (is there any other kind) private investigators who get more than they bargained for when their search of a missing porn star takes an unexpected turn. As you would expect from the man who wrote Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Long Kiss Goodnight, the script is loaded with quips, banter and sharp one liners you could cut yourself on. You can look forward to a full review of The Nice Guys later this week, but for now you’ll have to make do with a brief clip.
The Nice Guys” takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
The film also stars young actress Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer (the “Magic Mike” films, HBO’s “The Normal Heart”), Margaret Qualley (HBO’s “The Leftovers”), Keith David (TV’s “Community”) and Oscar winner Kim Basinger (“L.A. Confidential”).
