John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson reunite on-screen in the heart-pounding thriller Cell.

Based on Stephen King’s 2009 book of the same name, Cell offers a nightmarish vision of what using your mobile phone too much can do to humanity. If you through Candy Crush and Angry Birds had already turned the population into mindless zombies, then think again.

A mysterious phone signal turns everyday people into crazed killers sweeps through the population of a small town. In the aftermath a small band of survivors try to stay alive and a father (Cusack) frantically searches for his missing son. Cell isn’t the first time that Jackson and Cusack have starred in an adaptation of a Stephen King story, back in 2007 they appeared in the underrated 1408 cast your minds back to 2007 for the underrated 1408 for director Mikael Håfström.

Directed by Tod ‘Kip’ Williams (Paranormal Activity 2, The Door in the Floor), Cell is released in cinemas and On Demand on August 26, check out the trailer below.
