Justice League

Fresh from its debut at Comic-Con, the brand new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has arrived. 2016 will be known as the year of the superhero v superhero, Marvel goes to Civil War for Captain America 3 and Daredevil squares off against The Punisher on the second season of the hit Netflix series.

This extended trailer offers us our first proper look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and his alter ego. The first teaser was heavy on the foreboding tone, but we didn’t get to see much of Affleck. There is plenty of new footage on offer and a true sense of the epic action we can expect when these two DC titans go toe to toe. I can’t claim to be being massively excited about Snyder’s movie, and this trailer does little to suggest it’s going to be a creative win.

Starring  Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Despite it being an impossible task, Dawn Of Justice is the platform that DC are using to expand its cinematic universe, Affleck will reprise his Batman in a supporting role in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad which hits cinemas August next year. Aquaman, Wonder Woman and a two part Justice League team-up are all on the slate, plus Affleck will direct and star in a solo Batman movie scheduled for a 2018 release.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice arrives in UK cinemas March 2016.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
