Robin-Williams

A new heartfelt trailer for Boulevard has arrived, the tender drama is the last performance from the legendary Robin Williams and I’m not going to lie, the trailer is difficult viewing.

Robin Williams stars as Nolan Mack, he’s worked for the same bank for most of his professional life and his marriage has become a way to escape reality. Nolan’s safe world changes forever one night when he goes for a drive. The events of that night set in motion a personal revelation for Nolan, and one that has been locked away for decades.

There’s no denying that this is going to be a hard watch, the subject matter of a man struggling with the pressures of life is one Williams could identify with personally. The whole world felt it last year when the Academy Award winner actor died, Williams had a lifelong battle with depression and tragically we lost a uniquely wonderful human being who brought joy to millions.

The trailer is emotionally charged to say the least, Williams was a gifted dramatic actor with acclaimed performances to match the comedies and you only have to watch Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting or Insomnia to see evidence of that.

Directed by Dito Montiel and featuring Bob Odenkirk, Boulevard is still without a fixed UK release date but arrives in the US next month.

Nolan Mack (Robin Williams) has worked at the same bank for almost 26 years in a life of monotony. He and his wife Joy (Kathy Baker) have embraced their marriage as a convenient distraction from facing reality. However one day, what starts as an aimless drive down an unfamiliar street turns into a life-altering decision for Nolan. When he meets a troubled young man named Leo (Roberto Aguire) on his drive home, Nolan finds himself breaking from the confines of his old life and coming to terms with who he really is.
