The Man. The Myth. The Legend.
There’s not long to wait until Keanu Reeves returns as the world’s most dangerous assassin, John Wick. Easily on of the most surprisingly satisfying action movies of 2015, John Wick delivered slick action set pieces with some of the most audacious Gun fu seen in western cinema for years.
The first film told a familiar story of revenge, but the whole thing was so well executed that you just don’t care that the plot is one we’ve seen a thousand times before. Proving that age is nothing but a number, a then 50-year-old Reeves tackled the complex fight scenes with more energy and commitment than an actor half his age. Two years on and Reeves is pushing the envelope once again with even more insane action scenes.
The eagerly awaited sequel promises to up the ante and the trailers so far have not disappointed, while we wait for Chapter 2 to arrive Warner Bros UK has released a neat Symphony of Violence video highlighting some of the breathtaking action from the first movie.
Also staring, Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, Ruby Rose, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane; John Wick: Chapter Two is released in UK cinemas on February 17.
