David Tennant’s Bad Samaritan Sets UK Release Date

If there wasn’t enough David Tennant being exceedingly creepy in the second season of Jessica Jones for you, then you won’t want to miss Tennant’s performance in new thriller Bad Samaritan.

Robert Sheehan stars as struggling photographer Sean Falco who makes ends meet with an occasional sideline in burglary. Sean thinks he’s found a big score when he breaks into a luxury house owned by wealthy businessman Cale (Tennant). However, things take a dark turn when Sean finds a woman held captive in the house. The sudden return of Cale forces Sean to leave the woman behind, he eventually goes to the police to try and explain what he saw, but Cale has already disposed of the evidence. A taut and chilling game of cat and mouse escalates as Cale will do whatever it takes to silence Sean.

Having made his feature directorial debut with last year’s misfire Geostorm, Dean Devlin scales things back with a tense thriller that’s a world away from his producing duties on Independence Day, Godliza, and 2012.

Bad Samaritan is released in UK cinemas on 24th August, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
