Step into the visually arresting world of art masterpieces and criminal masterminds, as brand-new mystery series Art Detectives, starring the inimitable Stephen Moyer (True Blood, The Gifted), is set to be unveiled to UK viewers.
Acorn Media International is delighted to announce Art Detectives is set for its DVD and digital release on December 8 2025, following its transmission on U&Drama.
The thrilling six-part series sees Moyer return to the small screen as art-loving detective Mike Palmer, who’s drawn into the world of heists, forgeries and murder, alongside his straight-talking partner DC Shazia Malik, played by Nina Singh (The Lazarus Project). The pair must navigate the rich and colourful world of cultural crime, filled with greed, obsession, lust and revenge. The stellar cast includes Sarah Alexander (Stardust, Green Wing) as museum curator Rosa Conaghan and national treasure Larry Lamb (Gavin and Stacey, Eastenders) as Mike’s fraudulent father, Ron Palmer.
DI Mick Palmer (Moyer) leads the Heritage Crime Unit, investigating murders and thefts in the shadowy world of priceless art and antiquities. When the sharp young DC Shazia Malik (Singh) helps him solve the brutal killing of an art historian, the two partner up, diving headlong into a raft of high-stakes cases.
