“It was me James, the author of all your pain”
Daniel Craig is back as James Bond for the fourth time in Spectre, attempting to top their $1 billion Skyfall magic, director Sam Mendes returns to the hot seat for more spy based shenanigans.
The first full trailer for Spectre has arrived and if you liked Syfall, chances are you’ll love the look of this latest adventure.
There is no denying that the Craig era of Bond has been are more serious affair than previous incarnations of the franchise. Gone are the campy one-liners, fun tone and comic relief characters. As much as I enjoyed Skyfall, I was hoping the next instalment would splitter off in a different direction. Remember when Casino Royale came out, we all liked it and the studio agreed so the follow-up was basically a direct sequel and we got Quantum of Solace? Could that be happening here? Who knows, we just have to wait until October and find out.
Now that we live in a world where Kingsman: The Secret Service is a $400 million hit, maybe we don’t need James Bond to be the Bond of old. Also starring Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes. Spectre arrives in UK cinemas on October 26.
A cryptic message from the past leads James Bond (Daniel Craig) to Mexico City and Rome, where he meets the beautiful widow (Monica Bellucci) of an infamous criminal. After infiltrating a secret meeting, 007 uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation SPECTRE. Needing the help of the daughter of an old nemesis, he embarks on a mission to find her. As Bond ventures toward the heart of SPECTRE, he discovers a chilling connection between himself and the enemy (Christoph Waltz) he seeks.
