A new British heist thriller is heading to UK digital this autumn, as Deborah Hadfield’s Connected arrives on October 5 courtesy of Trinity Content Partners.
Following its world premiere at the London Rolling Film Festival, Connected brings together criminal action, hidden diamonds, romance and high-stakes identity confusion in a fast-moving, female-led thriller.
The film follows Stevie, played by Rose Muirhead (Mama’s Watching), a street-smart motorbike courier whose life is turned upside down after she accidentally swaps phones with Angel, played by Fern Taylor, a wealthy international jewellery designer. What begins as a chaotic clash of worlds quickly pulls both women into something far more dangerous.
As Stevie finds herself drawn into Angel’s life of luxury, Angel is forced into a very different kind of day, dealing with the realities of multi-drop deliveries. But the mix-up soon leads them into the middle of a robbery involving hidden diamonds and a priceless heirloom handbag once owned by a fleeing movie star.
Standing in their way is Neil, played by Sam Patrick (This England), a seductive and ruthless playboy thief determined to escape to Monaco with the stolen treasure. With secrets, lies and danger closing in, Stevie and Angel must bridge the divide between their very different worlds if they are going to outmanoeuvre him.
Blending heist thrills, comedy-of-errors energy and a touch of romance, Connected promises an action-packed ride through status, wealth, deception and unlikely partnership.
