Eli Roth Has Turned His Fake Grindhouse Trailer Into A Real Movie

Cast your minds back 16 years, and as part of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse, they invited some of their friends to make fake trailers to go between their back-2-back double feature of Planet Terror and Death Proof. While two of those faux trailers have already been turned into movies with Machete (plus its sequel), and Hobo with a Shotgun, Eli Roth’s slasher horror Thanksgiving is now a reality and landing in cinemas in a few weeks. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll ever see a feature version of Edgar Wright’s trailer, the love letter to British horror films, Don’t!

As we wait for Roth’s adaptation of the game series Borderlands, the writer/director returns to his horror roots for what could be a fun throwback slasher. A brand new Red Band trailer has been released that showcases the cast, which includes Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon.
