Following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, the Suicide Squad are getting the extended cut treatment. Suicide Squad: Extended Cut features more action and more Squad with 13 more minutes of footage not previously seen in cinemas. The extended version will be available on the 4K, 3D, Blu-ray and Digital Download release, sorry DVD fans.
Once again, the DC Movie Universe has divided fans and critics alike, but with a robust $740 million taken at the box office and currently stands as the eighth highest grossing movie of the year. In contrast to Marvel, DC are embracing Extended Versions of their shared movie universe and aren’t shy about dishing out a plethora of special features on their releases. There are currently no details on what new footage will be included, but we should expect to see a few of those deleted Joker scenes that we’ve heard so much about. The full list of special features has also yet to be confirmed, but as soon as we hear something, we’ll let you know.
Own Suicide Squad early on Digital Download on November 28th, and the 4K, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD release arrives on December 5th.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
