Great news for mystery lovers: STUDIOCANAL is giving four classic Agatha Christie film adaptations the deluxe 4K treatment, and they’re looking better than ever. Hitting shelves on November 24, the new boxset brings together three Poirot adventures and one Miss Marple mystery—perfect viewing as the nights draw in and a good “whodunit” feels just right.
The set is being released under STUDIOCANAL’s Vintage Classics label is fully loaded with extras: a 64-page booklet packed with behind-the-scenes insight, four newly commissioned art posters by W$YK, and plenty of bonus material to dig into. You’ll be able to pick up the collection as a 4-disc 4K UHD or Blu-ray boxset, and if you’d rather go case by case, each film will also be available individually on the same day.
The lineup is a dream for Christie fans. Sidney Lumet’s Murder on the Orient Express kicks things off, with Albert Finney in his one and only turn as Poirot—a performance Christie herself praised. The film was a critical darling, scoring Ingrid Bergman an Oscar and collecting 10 BAFTA nominations along the way. From there, Peter Ustinov steps into Poirot’s shoes in Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun, trading barbs and wits alongside heavyweights like Maggie Smith, Bette Davis, Mia Farrow, and Diana Rigg. Rounding things out is The Mirror Crack’d, with Angela Lansbury taking centre stage as Miss Marple opposite a glittering cast that includes Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and Kim Novak.
Looking over the star power across these four films is like scanning a who’s who of cinema royalty—Sean Connery, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Lauren Bacall, James Mason, the list goes on. With 4K restorations breathing new life into these timeless mysteries, this is a release designed for both collectors and anyone who just loves curling up with a classic Christie twist.
