Godzilla King of the Monsters Trailer 2

A brand new monster-packed trailer has been unleashed for the aptly titled Godzilla King of the Monsters.

Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi, Godzilla King of the Monsters hits cinemas on May 31, 2019.

Meanwhile, you could be forgiven for forgetting that there is a Godzilla/King Kong Cinematic Universe on the horizon (or MonsterVerse if you like) that will culminate with the 2020 release of Godzilla vs Kong. Continuing the proud tradition of pitting iconic creations against each other in a shameless cash grab. Adam Wingard (The Guest) is directing Godzilla vs Kong that will star Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Zhang Ziyi, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. Godzilla vs Kong will be released on May 22, 2020, and here’s the official synopsis;

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
