Seeking to do what no space-based live-action Holiday Special has done before (I’m talking to you, Star Wars), The Guardians of the Galaxy will return in November for a festive treat on Disney+.

The first trailer for the Guardians Holiday Special is now live, and it contains 100% more Kevin Bacon than previously expected. Following the events of Endgame, The Guardians are still down one member with the loss of Gamora, and the team’s leader Peter (Chris Pratt), is in dire need of some cheering up. Not to fear as his fellow Guardians have a plan, go to Earth, and kidnap Peter’s favourite actor Kevin Bacon to give Star-Lord the best Christmas he’s ever had.

Directed by James Gunn, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special stars Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, and Zoe Saldaña with Kevin Bacon as Kevin Bacon. We’ll see the Guardians reunited on the big screen next year for the long-awaited third and final entry in James Gunn trilogy, as he’s now the co-Chairman of DC Films, it’s safe to assume we won’t be seeing a Marvel project from him for quite some time.
