The third series of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s Inside No.9 has commenced filming and has added an array of guest stars to join in the madness. Keeley Hawes, Felicity Kendal, Fiona Shaw, Jessica Raine, Mathew Baynton, Rula Lenska, Philip Glenister, Jason Watkins, Tamzin Outhwaite, Montserrat Lombard, Morgana Robinson and Alexandra Roach are amongst the cast new comers.
Speaking about the forthcoming series, Shearsmith and Pemberton said;
“We are most thrilled to have been handed the keys to another six No. 9s, and to have attracted such a glittering array of talent. We have reassured them that this time there are lots of happy endings and everybody makes it out alive. And like fools, they believed us.”
Some of the settings in series three will include an art gallery, a restaurant after closing and most intriguingly an alpine chalet in the 1970s. While Inside No.9 hasn’t reached the same levels of success as fellow UK anthology series Black Mirror, Shearsmith and Pemberton’s show is bleak and funny in equal measures. The creative duo also make their directorial debuts during the second series and helmed both Nana’s Party and Cold Comfort.
At the time of writing there has been no official broadcast date confirmed, the pervious two runs debuted around March/April, but as they have only just started filming a later launch date seems likely.
