There was no shortage of announcements about the Netflix side of the MCU during the weekend’s New York Comic-Con festivities. In addition to revealing that Rosario Dawson will appear in Iron Fist, a brand new full-length trailer for the forthcoming series has arrived.
Game of Thrones star Finn Jones stars as Danny Rand who… I’ll tell you what here’s the official synopsis;
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
There’s a lot of Marvel shows coming our way on Netflix over the coming years, as well as the returning Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, The Punisher has also got his own show and on-set pictures revealed that Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll would be reprising her role as Karen Page. Oddly, The Punisher doesn’t have a release date yet, and Netflix has also not revealed when the team-up event series The Defenders will launch.
As we’re neatly on the subject of The Defenders, Sigourney Weaver will be joining the cast and will be one of the main villains of the eagerly awaited mini-series. A short teaser released over the summer stated that The Defenders will be with us sometime in 2017, reports also suggest that The Punisher is set for a 2017 debut so we could be in for three Marvel shows next year.
Also starring Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, and David Wenham, Iron Fist will strike its way onto Netflix March 27, 2017.
