Perhaps one of the most surprising movies of last year (I know it was released in 2014 in America) was John Wick, a simple premise of a retired assassin coaxed out of retirement to rain down hell on his former criminal chums after they kill his beloved pet dog.
Keanu Reeves proves that age is nothing but a number by kicking all kinds of ass and bullet punching his way from one awesome set piece to the next. Sure, the story is one we’ve seen countless times, but with some of the finest fight choreography seen in a mainstream US movie, John Wick earned its immediate cult status.
Following the reveal of the first poster for the forthcoming John Wick Chapter 2, the first full length trailer is now online and ups the ante for the continuing adventures of the world’s deadliest assassin. Written by Derek Solstad and directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick Chapter 2 boasts an all-star cast featuring Common, Riccardo Scamarcio, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Bridget Moynahan, Lance Reddick, Franco Nero, with John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane.
John Wick Chapter Two is released in UK cinemas on 17 February 2017.
In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
