We're making a few changes...sorry for the inconvience.

Mad Max Fury Road Black & Chrome

Fresh from its limited theatrical release last month, Mad Max: Fury Road Black & Chrome will ride onto Blu-ray on Monday May 15. The rich and beautiful world of George Miller’s reboot left audiences speechless, and the much discussed Black & Chrome edition is set to do the same.

While I will have no hesitation about adding this version of the movie to my collection, for a film that used colour as a weapon, I am curious in the Chrome edition will resonate with me as much as the theatrically released cut. This isn’t to say that black & white versions can’t improve on the original, The Mist (in my humble opinion) is best enjoyed in all its black and white glory. Mad Max Fury Road won’t be the only high-profile blockbuster to be given the black and white treatment when Logan hits Blu-ray later this year a black and white cut will also be available.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
