The much-loved Moomin family is back on our screens with all all-new star-studded animated series, Moominvalley, based on the hugely popular work of Tove Jansson.

After being absent from our screens for some time, the Moomins made a triumphant comeback in 2014 with the charming film Moomins on the Riviera. Five years on and they’re back again with Moominvalley, which might be more glossy than previous incarnations, but it’s made with the same spirit as the original comic strip and 90s series.

This new hit series follows the curious and idealistic Moomintroll with his extraordinary family and whimsical friends, as they take us on an adventure into the magical world of Moominvalley, where we can learn more about our own humanity, relationships and emotions and especially about love. Moomintroll, who is curious, kind, sensitive and idealistic. He is a typical teenage hero in a coming-of-age story: he tries to tackle the puzzle of growing up to his true, individualistic self while remaining a beloved part of the family. He lives with his caring Moominmamma and nostalgic Moominpappa. Moomintroll is joined by his best friend, the free-spirited wanderer Snufkin, the chaotic Little My, daydreamer Snorkmaiden, cowardly Sniff, and many other friends.
