The series finale of WandaVision delivered a hugely emotional climax to the ambitious series and has set the bar extremely high for all the MCU Disney+ shows to come. Luckily, we only have to wait two weeks for our next helping from the MCU with the launch of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on March 19th.
To further prove that the series is imminent, a brand new international trailer has landed, and it’s jam-packed with new footage, well, some new footage, there’s a bit of new footage! Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their respective roles in what looks like it’s going to be a high-octane buddy movie told over six-hours. The events of Endgame has left the world without a Captain America as Sam is still struggling to take on the mantle. However, somebody else is wearing the suit with Wyatt Russell’s John F. Walker, a militaristic successor to Captain America created by the U.S. government. Sam and Bucky are forced to work together when Baron Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl – Civil War) remerges.
We’ve been promised an appearance from Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, which is handy as he’s going to be the star of his own MCU series entitled Armour Wars. Also starring Emily VanCamp, Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly, and Danny Ramirez, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier begins its six-episode run on Friday, March 19.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
