Matthew Vaughn’s long-delayed Kingsman prequel The King’s Man has a brand new trailer stuffed with fresh footage. Initially scheduled for November 15, 2019, The King’s Man found itself tangled in a mission that no amount of spy skills could solve, the Disney/Fox merger. Trailers were already doing the rounds, but the release date got pushed by a few months to February 14, 2020.
No, you’re not mistaken, the release didn’t pass you by as The King’s Man was amongst the first films to delay their launch date owing to the pandemic. So, (for now) the movie is finally landing in cinemas on September 18, and the brand new trailer is here to remind us it’s definitely happening. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Rhys Ifans, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, and Charles Dance, The King’s Man does look like it could be fun. That said, The Golden Circle was a hot mess of ideas, still fun to be had, but it failed to match the first movie in the entertainment department.
The King’s Man isn’t the only offshoot of the Kingsman franchise on the way, Vaughn will be helming the third movie with Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, and the US set spin-off Statesman possibly starring Channing Tatum. The King’s Man will be released in the UK on September 18.
