The first trailer for the long-awaited fifth entry in the Scream franchise has arrived. A decade after the last instalment, the simply titled Scream sees a new generation of teenagers in Woodsboro become aggressively surveyed about their favourite scary movies. David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox reprise their iconic roles once again, with Ready or Not directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett taking over from the late great Wes Craven.
The first trailer spares no expense in the corn syrup department, with this new sequel upping the blood factor. There is also a lack of readily available pop-culture references that made the original movie the postmodern classic it is today. It wouldn’t be a Scream movie without the voice of Roger L. Jackson as Ghost Face, who is making his fifth vocal appearance in the franchise.
Also starring Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Kyle Gallner. Scream arrives exclusively in cinemas in Januray.
