Snatch TV Series Trailer

Life after Hogwarts has been difficult for Ron Weasley as he has fallen in with a bad crowd of no good Slytherins and embarked on a life of crime. Sadly this isn’t the trailer or Ron Weasley: Crime Wizard, but Rupert Grint is amongst the cast for Crackle’s small screen take on Guy Richie’s classic gangster romp.

That’s right folks, the movie Snatch is now old enough to considered classic and is, therefore, eligible for the TV remake treatment. Grint (who also executive produces) stars as Charlie Cavendish, a twenty-something who fancies himself as a street-smart hustler. Along with his chums, Charlie stumbles upon a truckload of ill-gotten gold and decides to do the honest thing and nick the lot. The gang’s naive plans backfire horribly, and they soon find themselves in entangled in the murky criminal underworld.

The last time a Guy Richie movie was turned into a TV series we got Lock Stock, and it was fucking awful. Void of everything that was fun about Richie’s low-budget debut, Lock Stock The Series was mercifully cancelled after just one series. Supposedly inspired by a real-life heist, the first trailer for Snatch has arrived and you can decide for yourself if it’s worth giving a go.

Also starring Dougray Scott, Luke Pasqualino, Lucien Laviscount and Ed Westwick, the ten-episode first season launches on Crackle on March 16.

Inspired by a real life heist in London, “Snatch,”centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.
