I’m going to be brief here peeps as you have a busy day of watching the Star Wars trailer on a loop. Hot on the heels of the final poster, the latest promo for The Force Awakens is still curiously absent Luke Skywalker, but does contain bundles of new footage.
One of the things I am loving about the marketing push is the lack of plot detail, it feels like a treat to be within two months of release and know so little about the plot. I say this as high praise as in today’s internet world, even major studios spoil their own movies with the trailers.
What are the key take homes from the new trailer? I could pick through the trailer and find hidden clues, but that’s already been done. The latest trailer does a great job pulling at nostalgic heartstrings, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about The Force Awakens. The stink from the prequels had diluted my interest in revisiting the franchise, but with each new trailer I’m getting more of those geeky tingles.
Starring John Boyega, Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill (eventually), Peter Mayhew and obviously, Anthony Daniels. Star Wars The Force Awakens arrives in the UK on December 17.
