We're making a few changes...sorry for the inconvience.

The Ghostbusters are back in action with a sequel to Afterlife, which sees the new and old generation reunited in New York City. Enduring numerous delays due to COVID, Afterlife finally arrived in cinemas in 2021, and while it didn’t reinvent the franchise, it was a loving tribute to the past and reminded audiences of the essential formula for a Ghostbusters movie.

The first trailer has landed for the sequel, Frozen Empire, which takes the Spengler family back to where it all started, the iconic firehouse in New York City. The old guard of Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Dan Ackroyd, and Bill Murray have more to do here than in Afterlife, as they’ve been working on the next level of ghost-busting tools in a top-secret lab. Also reprising their role from the original is William Atherton, who starred as Walter Peck, an inspector for the Environmental Protection Agency who had a grudge against the Ghostbusters. Will he still be hanging on to the grudge 40 years later? We’ll have to wait until Spring to find out. Directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House), Afterlife director Jason Reitman co-wrote the script and remains a creative force in the franchise as a producer.

Starring Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Logan Kim, Celeste O’Connor, Carrie Coon, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Paul Rudd, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire will be released in cinemas on March 29, 2024; check out the trailer below.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
