As if by magic, those smart folks at Screen Junkies have unleashed a brand new Honest Trailer for The Purge franchise just in time to celebrate Independence Day and the release of a new Purge movie.
The First Purge is in cinemas now and suggests the high-concept thriller franchise is running out of ideas as the title suggests it’s a prequel to the previous three instalments. Charting how a psychological experiment became an annual event where all crime is legal for 12 hours. Maybe the forthcoming ten-part Purge TV series will delve deeper, although, the recently released teaser suggests that murder will still play a big part in proceedings. So, if one purge wasn’t enough for you this year, you’re in luck.
The First Purge is in cinemas now, and The Purge TV series will start in the US early September. We’ll keep you posted about a UK broadcast date as soon as we hear something.
