What We Do In The Shadows Spin-Off Wellington Paranormal Coming To Home Entertainment

If you love What We Do in The Shadows then prepare for your next binge-watch as the hit spin-off series is finally coming to home entertainment. Wellington Paranormal follows hilariously hapless officers Mark Minogue and Karen O’Leary as they are assigned to the new Paranormal Unit of Wellington’s police force, tasked with tackling the increasing number of local crimes and misdemeanours of a supernatural nature.

Produced by What We Do in The Shadows creators Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, Wellington Paranormal delves into the darker corners of policing in the outlandish style you know and love from their previous work. Available on DVD, Blu-ray, and Download to own, Dazzler Media is releasing the first season on July 5th, season two will arrive on September 6th, and season three on October 11. That’s right, three whole seasons of this wonderfully funny show are coming to home entertainment before Christmas. The fourth season is currently filming and will be released later this year.

Wellington Paranormal is the new follow-on series to Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s much-loved mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows. The series follows hilariously hapless officers Mark Minogue and Karen O’Leary as they are assigned to the new Paranormal Unit of Wellington’s police force, tasked with tackling the increasing number of local crimes and misdemeanours of a supernatural nature.

The team and their senior officer, Sergeant Maaka, encounter some familiar faces. Celebrated Clement and Waititi characters ‘Bloodthirsty Nick’ the vampire and Rhys Darby’s hilarious ‘Swearwolf’ return, joined by a host of new paranormal foes including a haunted Nissan Turbo, a man-eating sea monster in Wellington’s harbour, a rowdy team of ghost rugby fans, a ‘living’ fatberg, an invisible monster and many more.
