A new trailer for the second season of Daredevil has arrived to whet your appetite for the further adventures of the man without fear. Netflix’s first Marvel series was greeted by a rapturous response from audiences and forever white washed Ben Affleck’s ill-fated movie. The second season adds The Punisher into the mix with Jon Bernthal playing the unhinged vigilante, but his brand of justice is a tad more bullet friendly than that of Daredevil’s.
Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) is joined by a stellar cast including Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), and Scott Glenn (Stick).
All 13 episodes will be available on Netflix on March 18, and I wouldn’t be surprised if The Punisher got his own spin-off series in the very near future.
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
